Man Arrested For Alleged Assault, Molestation At STAIND Concert

According to The Brookings Register, Brookings, South Dakota police on Sunday evening (July 26) arrested a 20-year-old city man on several charges, including aggravated assault and sexual contact with a child under 16.

Police Chief Jeff Miller said the man, who was attending the STAIND concert at the Swiftel Center, allegedly molested a 14-year-old female and then body-slammed a 15-year-old male. The male victim, bleeding from the mouth, was transported by ambulance to the Brookings hospital, where he was treated and released.

Sgt. Joey Collins said both victims are from Watertown.

Officers were called to the Swiftel Center for the reported assault and molestation at 10:30 p.m. Police also arrested the suspect on a third charge of disorderly conduct.
